The crankcase ha lves must be separated to service the ransm ission and crankshaftTo service thes parts, th engi ne must be removed from the frame (page 7-4) Be ca reful not to damage the crankcase ating surfaces when servicing Transmission lubrica ting oil is fed hrough the oil passages in the crankcaseClean the oil passages before assembling the crankcase ha lves
