SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
This section covers service the clutch (cent rifuga clutch and hange clutch) and gearshift linkage, To service the reverse stopper shaft and gearsh ift spindle, the eng ine must be removed from the frameThe crankcase must be separated when the sub-gearshift spindle, transmission, sh ft drum and shift forks requ ire ser vice (page 12-8) Engine oi viscosity and level and the use of oil additives have an effect on clutch operationOil addit ives of ny kind are specifically not recommendedWhen the clutch does not disengage or the vehicle creeps, inspect the engine oil and oil level before serv icing the clutch system, Engine lub ricating oi from the oil fil er is fed through the oil passages in the front crankcase coverClean the oil passages before installing the crankcase cove The TEJFE type is equipped with th electric shift program (ESP ), See pag 22-18 for this service
