COOLING FAN MOTOR
INSPECTION
NOTEMake su re hat th coolant temperature ind icator sys te unctio ns properly before checking th fan motor system
Fan motor does not stop hen he engine is ru n-
ning Disc nnect the engine coolant temperature (EeT) :
sensor connector Start the engine and chec he fan motor If the fa motor does not start, check the ECT sensor (page 16-24) If the fan motor startscheck for short circuit in the following wire:Green wire between the fanllCM and fan motor connectorsGreen wire of the fan motor
If the wires are OK, replace the fanllCM
