Remo ve the front wheel (pag 13-10)Rem ove the cotter pinsRemove th ball joint nuts while hol ding the joint stud flats with an open end renchRem ove th ie-rod fr om th knu ckle and stee ring shaft arm
INSPECTION
Inspec th ie-rod for distortion damageInsp ect the ball joint boots for tea rs other dam age by moving the ball jo int studs They should move free ly and smoothlyReplace the ball joint if necessary GOLD NUT
