SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
Perform the gear contact pattern and backlash inspe ction heneve you replace the bear ings, gea rs or gea caseTh extension lines from the gear engagement surfaces should intersect at one poi nt Protect the gear case ith shop towe or soh jaw hile hold ing it in viseDo not clam it too tigh as it co uld damag the gear case Repla ce the ring and pinion gears as set Replace the cam follow ers (12 pieces) as set, and the cam followers, face cams, diffe rential housing and cap as an assemb ly if the face camdiffe rential housing or cap is faulty
