BATTERYCHARGING SYSTEM
CHARGING SYSTEM INSPECTION
Remove the seatreaf fender (page 2-4)
AMMETER
CURRENT LEAKAGE TEST
Turn the igni tion switch OFF, and disconnect the negative (-) cable rom the battery
Connecllhe ammeter (+) probe to the negative (-) cable and the ammeter probe to the battery terminalWith Ihe ignition swi tch OFF, check for curren leakage
When measuring curren using lesler, sel il Ia a
high ra nge, lind then bring the range down to an appropriate levelCurrent flow higher thn the range selected may blowout the fuse in the lesterWhile mellsurlng cu rrentdo not turn he ignition switch ONA su dden surge of current may blow out the fuse in the testerSPECIFIED CURRENT LEAKA GE: 0.1 maxIf current leakage exceeds the specified value, shorted circuit i,likelyLocate the short by disconnecting connections one by one and measuring the curren t
