ELECTRIC STARTER
STARTER RELAY SWITCH
INSPECTION
Remove the seat (page 2-21
Shift the transmission into neutralTurn the ignition switch ONand push the starter switchThe coil is normal if the starter relay switch clicks
If you don't hear the switchCLICK; inspect the relay switch using the procedure belowDisconnect the starter relay switch wire connectors
GROUND LINE
Check for continuity between the Light green wire terminal of the harness side connector and ground If there is continuity when the transmission is in neutral, the ground circuit is normal
STARTER RELAY VOLTAGE Measure the voltage between the Yellowred wire terminal (+) of the harness side connector and ground
