BATIERY ICHARGING SYSTEM
ALTERNATOR CHARGING COIL
INSPECTION
Remove the left side cover (page 2-3)Disconnect the alternatorexciter coil 3P (red) connec-
torMeasure the resistance between the Yellow wire terminals of the alternator side connector
Check for continuity between each Yellow re terminal of the alternator side con nector and groundThere should be no continuityReplace the alternator stator if resistance is out of specification, or if any wire has continuity to groundRefer to section 11 for alternator stator replacement

WIRE HARNESS INSPECTION
Remove the left side cover (page 2-3), Disconnect the regulatorrectifier 6P (black) connectorCheck the connector for loose contact or corroded terminals
