GEAR POSITION SWITCH
INSPECTION
Disconnect the ECM 34P connectorCheck for continuity between each gear posi tion switch wire termina of the ECM co nnector and
groundThere should be continuity on ly at the termina ls that
correspond to the gear positions shown below, and
there should be no co nt inuity at the other terminalsYou must est each of the fo ur ires in each gear posi-
tionTherefore, you need to make 16 tests, between
each ge ar position switch wire te rmina and ground
