IGNITION SYSTEM
TROUBLESHOOTING
Inspect the ollowing before iagnosing he sys tem:FaultY spark plugoose sparkplug cap or spark lug ire co nnecti nsWater got into th spark plug cap (Leaking the igniti coi second ary volt age) If th eng ine speed ill not rise above 2.200 rpm with the gearshift lev er in MR- posit ion, inspect the fo llowing:Gearsh ift lever linkage ad justment (pag 12-14)Reverse switch (page 22-13)Gea pos ition switch (page 2325If he engine speed will not rise above 1,750 rp with the front brake lever released and he gea rshift lever in posi tion, inspect the rake switch (page 22-13) and it installation co nd itionNo spark at spark plug
