LIGHTSMETERSSWITCHES If the carburetor heater resistance is normal, check for continuity between the switch side connector terminals of the temperature switch 2P connectorAbove: 20C (68F)No Continuity Below: 7C (45F)Continuity If there is abnormal, replace the air temperature switch
COMBINATION METERSPEED SENSOR (Except U.S.ATMFM models)
POWERGROUND LINE INSPECTION
Remove the connectors from the frame in order as follows: ignition switch (4P white) handlebar switch (10P green) meter (14P gray) Disconnect the meter 14P connector and check the following at the wire harness side connectorPOWER INPUT LINE Measure the voltage between the Blackbrown wire terminal) and ground)There should be battery voltage with the ignition switch ONIf there is no voltage, check for open circuit in Blackbrown wireBACK-UP VOLTAGE LINE Measure the voltage between the Red wire terminal) and ground)There should be battery voltage at all timesIf there is no voltage, check for open circuit in Red wireGROUND LINE Check for continuity between the Green wire terminal and groundThere should be continuity at all timesIf there is no continuity, check for open circuit in Green wireGreen METER 14P CONNECTOR
