GENERAL
The recoil starter can be removed with the engine installed in the frameTo service the alternator stator, flywheel and starter clutch, the engine must be removed from the frame (these items can be serviced by removing the swingarm if no additional engine work is needed)Transmission lubricating oil is fed through the oil passages in the rear crankcase coverClean the oil passages before installing the crankcase coverRefer to section 17 for alternator stator inspectionRefer to section 19 for starter motor servicing
