MAINTENANCE
STEERING SHAFT HOLDER BEARING
Make sure the cables do not interf ere with the rotation of the handlebar

Raise the front wheels off the ground and support the vehicle securelyCheck that the handlebar moves freely from side to sideIf the handlebar moves unevenly, binds, or has horizontal movement, inspect the steering shaft holder bushing and bearing (section 12)
STEERING SYSTEM
Place the vehicle on level ground with the front wheels facing straight aheadMark the centers of the tires with chalk to indicate the axle center heightAlign the gauge with the marks on the tires as shownCheck the readings on the gauge scalesSlowly move the vehicle back until the wheels have turned 180 so the marks on the tires are aligned with the gauge height on the rear sideMeasure the toe on the rear part of the tires at the same points with no load on the vehicleTMTE: Toe-in: 15 mm (18 916 in) FMFE: Toe-out: 18 15 mm (34 916 in) TOOL: Toe gauge
