BRAKE SYSTEM
FRONT BRAKE
Measure the free play (distance the brake lever moves before the brake starts to take hold) at the end of the front brake leverFREE PLAY: 25 30 mm (1 1-316 in) If the free play is excessive and the brake shoe lining is not worn beyond the recommended limit, adjust the brake shoe lining-to-drum clearanceRaise the front wheel off the ground by placing support block under the vehicleRemove the inspection hole cap and align the cap hole with one of the brake shoe adjusters and turn the adjuster up with screwdriver until the shoes lock, then back off three stepsSpin the wheel manually to make sure the brake does not dragLine up the inspection hole with the second adjuster and repeat the procedureAdjust both wheelsADJUSTER
