NOTE: The linkage can be serviced with the skid plate installed, although it is easier to service if the skid plate is removed (page 2-51, Support the vehicle with support block to raise the rear wheels off the groundSupport the swingarm and remove the following: -shock absorber lower mounting nut and bolt -shock arm-to-shock link nut and bolt -shock link-to-swlngarm nut and bolt -shock link and washer -shock arm-to-frame nut and bolt -shock arm
