FUEL TANKHEAT PROTECTOR
REMOVALINSTALLATION
Remove the front fender (page 2-2)FUEL TANK Turn the fuel valve OFFDisconnect the fuel tube from the fuel valveUnhook the mounting strapsRemove the two mounting bolts and the fuel tankBOLTS FUELTANK
TANK UNDER HEAT PROTECTOR Remove the carburetor air vent tube from the tube holder in the heat protectorRemove the clutch cable from the cable guide on the protectorRelease the trim clip by raising the center pin and remove itRemove the fuel tube from the protector rubberRemove the two mounting boltsRelease the two tabs on the rear side of the protector and remove the protector from the frameWhen installing the trim clip, carefullyalign the clip holes to avoid damaging the clip
