HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKE Install the push rod into the master cylinder and the snap ring into the groove in the master cylinder, using the special toolTOOL Snap ring pliers CAUTION:

Be certain the snap ring is firmly seated in the grooveInstall the piston boot into the master cylinder and the groove in the push rodSNAP RING PLIERS
Ifthe push rodjoint is reinstalled, adjust the push rod length so that the distance from the center of the master cylinder lower mounting hole to the center of the ioint pin hole is 80 mm (3.1 in)Tighten the lock nutAdjust the brake pedal height if necessary (page 316)
