LEVEL CHECK
NOlE: Check the oil level after starting the engine and allowing the oil to circulate through the engine thoroughlyIt is especially important on dry sump engine, due to the comparatively large volume of oil Do not snap the throttle while idling or the oil level reading wi II be inaccuratePlace the vehicle on level groundStart the engine and let it idle for minutesIf the air temperature is below 10C (50F)let the engine idle for an additional minutes (atotal of 10 minutes)Stop the engineAfter few minutes, remove the oil filler capdipstick from the oil tank and wipe it cleanCheck the oil level by inserting the oil fillerdipstick intothe oil filler hole without screwing itinThe engine contains sufficient amount of oil if the oil level is between the upper and lower level marks on the dipstickIf the oil level is near or below the lower level mark, and the recommended engine oil up to the upper level markRECOMMENDED ENGINE Honda GN4 or HP4 4-stroke oil or equivalent motor oil API service classification SF or SG Viscosity: SAE 10W-40 or 20W-50 NOTE: Other viscosities shown in the chart may be used when the average temperature in your riding area is within the indicated rangeReinstallthe filler capldipstickOIL VISCOSITIES
