ELECTRIC STARTER
STARTER MOTOR
REMOVAL
When the ignition switch OFF, remove the negative cable at the battery before servicing the starter motorRemove the right engine side cover (page 6-2)Disconnect the starter cable from the starter motorRemove the two mounting bolts and the starter motorFRONT COVER
DISASSEMBLY
Remove the two starter motor case bolts and remove the front cover, motor case and armature coilRecord the number and location of shims for correct assembly
