IGNITION SYSTEM With the igniti on coil prima ry wire connected, connect the peak voltage adaptor or peak voltage tester to the ign ition coilCONNECTION: BlackYellow terminal (-)Body ground (+)
IGNITION COIL
PEAK VOLTAGE ADAPTER
Turn the engine stop switch to "RUN" Crank the engine with the starter motor and read ignition coil primary peak voltagePEAK VOLTAGE: 100 minimum If the peak voltage is abnormal, check for an open circuit or poor connection in BlacklYeliow wireIf no defects are found in the harness, refer to the troubleshooting chart on page 18-3
IGNITION PULSE GENERATOR PEAK VOLTAGE
NOTE: Check cylinder compression and check that the spark plug is installed correctlyDisconnect the 4P connector from the ICMConnect the peak voltage adaptor or peak voltage tester probes to the connector terminals of the wire harness sideTOOLS: Peak voltage tester (U.S.Aonly) or Peak voltage adaptor 07HGJ-0020100 (not available in U.S.A with commercially available digital multi meter (impedance 10 flDCV minimum)
