Turn the inner race of the bearing ith your fingerThe bearing should turn smoothly and quietlyAlso check that the outer race fit tightly in the housingRemove and discard the bearing if the races do not turn smoothly and quietly, or if they fit loosely in the housing Replace the oil seal and beari ng if necessary
