Clean sealing material off the mating surfaces ofthe differential case and cover, bei ng ca refu not to damage themApply thin coat of Prussian Blue to the pin ion gear teeth for tooth contact pattern checkInstall the ring gear shims onto the differential assemblyInstall the differential assembly into the gear caseLEFT SHIM
RIGHT SHIM
It ;s important to turn the pinion while tightening Ihe boltsIf the ring gear shim is 100 thick, the gears will lock after only light tightening
Install the case cover and tighten the bolts in several steps until the cover evenly touches the gear caseThen, while rotating the pinion gear, tighten the bolts to the specified orque in crisscross pattern in severa stepsTORQUE: 10 mm bolt: 49 N'm (5.0 kgf'm, 36lbfoft) mm bolt: 25 N'm (2.6 kgf'm, 19 Ibfoft)
