FRONT DRIVING MECHANISM Tighten the cover bolts in two or three steps until the cover evenly touches the gear caseThenwhile rotating the drive piniontighten the bolts to the spec ified torque in two or three steps in crisscross pattern 10 mm BOLTS
TORQUE: 10 mm bolt: 49 Nm (5.0 kgfom, 36lbfoft) mm bolt: 25 Nm (2.6 kgf.m, 19 Ibfoft) CAUTION: It is important to turn the pinion while tightening the boltsIf the ring gear spacer is too thick, the gears will lock after only light tightening
Remove the oi filler cap from the differential caseRotate the ring gear several times in both directions of rotationCheck the gea tooth contact pattern through the oil filler holeThe pattern is indicated by the Prussian Blue applied to the pi nion before assembly Contact is normal if the Prussian Blue is transferred to the approximate center but slightly to the heel side of each tooth and to the flank side
