NOTETo replace the outboard bootfirst remove the inboard boot as described in these stepsThen remove the bands and pull the outboard boot off the inboard end of the shaftLoosen both boot bands on the inboard side, and remove boot band Pull the boot off the inboard jointINBOARD BOOT Remove the stop ring and inboard jointNOTE: The outboard joint cannot be disassembled
