FRONT WHEELSUSPENSIONSTEERING Allow the repair to dryDrying time will vary with air temperatureRefer to the tire repair kit manufacturer's recommendationsInflate the tire and test the seal by dabbing small amount,of cement around the plugEscaping air will cause bubble in the cementIf there is leakage, remove the tire (page 12-9) and apply cold patch to the nside of the tire as describedIf plug has been inserted, trim it even with the inner tire surfaceTemporarily place rubber patch that is at least twice the size of the puncture over the njuryMake mark around the patch, slightly larger than the parch itselfRoughen the area marked inside the tire with tire buffer or wire brushClean the rubber dust from the buffed areaApply cement over the area marked and allow it to dryRemove the lining from the patch and center it over the injuryPress the patch against the injury using special rollerNOTE: Allow cement to dry until tacky before applying patch Do not touch the cement with dirty or greasy hands
