PILOT SCREW ADJUSTMENT
If the engine must be running to do some work, make sure the area is well ventilatedNever run the engine in an enclosed areaThe exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas that may cause loss of consciousness and may lead to deathRun the engine in an open area or with an exhaust evacuation system in enclosed area
The pilot screw is factory pre-setAdjustment is not necessary unless the carburetors are overhauled or new pilot screws are installed Then engine must be warm for accurate ad ustmentTen minutes of stop-and -go riding is sufficient Use tachometer with graduations of 50 rpm or smaller that will accurately indicate 50 rpm change1Turn the pilot screw clockwise until it seats lightly, then back it.out to the specification givenCAUTION:
