The skid plates and-engi ne gua rd protect the rear final gear case and engine from rocksCheck the skid plates and engine guard for cracks, damage or looseness at intervals shown in the Maintenance Schedule (page 3-3)Replace the skid plates and engine guard if they are cracked or damagedIf the plates and engine guard bolts are loose, tighten them
