FUEL LINE
Remove the sidefuel tank cover assembly (page 23}Check the fuel lineReplace it if it shows signs of deterioration, damage or leaking
THROTTLE OPERATION
Check for smooth throttle lever operation with complete opening and automatic closing in all steering positionsMake sure there is no deterioration, damage or kinking in the throttle cableReplace any damaged partsDisconnect the throttle cable at the upper end (page 12-6}Thoroughly lubricate the cable and pivot point with commercially available cable lubricantInstall the throttle cable in the reverse order of removalMake sure the throttle lever free play ismm (1516 in) atthe tip of the throttle leverMinor adjustments can be made at the upper adjusterThrottle lever free play can be adjusted at throttle housing adjusterSlide the rubber boot off the cable adjusterLoosen the lock nut and adjust the throttle cable free play by turning the cable adjusterAfter adjustment, tighten the lock nut and install the rubber boot securelyMajor adjustments are made with the lower adjusterRemove the seat (page 2-3)Slide the rubber boot off the cable adjusterAdjust by loosening the lock nut and turning the adjusterAfter adjustment, tighten the lock nut and install the rubber boot securelyCheck throttle operationInstall the seat (page 2-3)
