ELECTRIC SHIFT PROGRAM (After 2001TE model) Problem Code or 12: Gear Position Switch System Check the connections of the ECU, gear position switch and related circuit-Abnormal- Loose or poor contact of related circuit
Disconnect the ECU connector (22P8Iack)-Abnormal -
Turn the ignition switch to "OFF"Check for continuity at the ECU connector of the wire harness side as follows: CONNECTIONS: White Green 1+Body ground (- I, when shifting to 1st gear Pink Blue (+Body ground 1- ), when shifting to 2nd gear BlueWhite (+- Body ground- ), when shifting to 3rd gear Yellow Orange+- Body ground (- I, when shifting to 4th gear light blue White+Body ground,), when shifting to 5th gear STANDARD: Continutty
Oisconnect the gear position switch connector (6P)Check for continuity at the gear position
switch connector as follows:
CONNECTIONS: White Green- Body ground- I, Pink Blue- Body ground (- ),
