When the bearing, gear set andlor gear case has
been replaced, check the tooth contact pattern
(page 15-7) and gear backlash (page 15-5),
Keep dust and dirt out of the gear
Install the ring gear spacers onto the ring gearInstall the ring gear, with the spacers, into the final
casedrive caseApply liquid sealant to the mating surface of the gear case cover
Apply locking agent to the threads of the 10 mm boltsTighten the cover bolts insteps until the cover evenly touches the gear caseThen, while rotating the drive pinion, tighten the bolts to the specified torque insteps in criss-
