IGNITION SYSTEM If the peak voltage measured at ICM connector is abnormal, measure the peak voltage at the alternator exciter coi connectorDisconnect the alternator exciter coil connector and connect the tester probe to the BlackRed term ina and GroundIn the same manner as at the ICM connector, measure the peak voltage and compare it to the vo ltage measured at the ICM connector If the peak voltage measured at th ICM is abnormal and the one measured at the alternator exciter coil is normal, the wire harness has an open circuit or loose connection If both peak voltages measure are abnormal, check each item in the trou bleshooti ng chart (page 17-31If all items are normal, the alternator exciter coil is faultySee section 10 for stator replacementALTER NATOR CONNECTOR
