FRONT WHEELSUSPENSIONSTEERING A llow the repair to dryDrying time will vary with air temperatureRefer to the tire repair ki manufac turer's recommendationsInflate the tire and test the seal by dabbing small amount of cement around the plugEscaping air il cause bubble in the cementIf there is leakage, remove the tire (page 12-9l and apply cold patch to the ins ide of the tire as described If plug has been inserted, trim it even ith the in ner ti re surfaceTempora rily place rubber pa tch that is at least twice the size of the puncture over the njuryMake mark around the patch, slightly larger than the patch itselfRoughen the area marked inside the tire with tire buffer or wire brus hClean the rubber dust from the buffed area Apply cement over he area marked and allow it to dryRemove he lining from the patch and cen er it over he inj uryPress the patch aga inst the injury using special rollerNOTEAllow cement to dry unti tacky before applying patch Do not touch the ceme nt with dirty or greasy hands
