CRANKSHAFT TRANSMISSION
CRANKCASE SEPARATION
Refer to page 11-1 for th parts which must be re moved before separa ti ng the cra nkcase
Remove th eng ine hanger bushing dust seals and dr ive out the hanger bushingsRemove th three front crankcase bolts
Loose th ten rear crankcase bolts in crisscross pattern in or steps to prevent crankcase distor tion Remove the rear crankcase bolts Remove th two boltsRemove the countershaft protector and -ri ngRemove th neutral switch rotor
