MAINTENANCE
Raise the front wheels off the ground by placing support block under the vehicleRemove the inspection hole cap and line up the hole with one of the brake adjust ing nuts and turn tile brake shoe adjusting nuts up with screwdriver until the shoes lock, then back off three cl icksSpin the wheel manually to make sure the brake does not drag Line up the inspection ho le with the second adjusti ng nuts and repeat the procedure Adjust both whee lsNOTE :
ADJUSTER
There are two adjusting nuts on each front wheel Adjust all four adjusting nuts
Recheck the brake lever free playIf free play is still excess ive after adj ust ing the brake lining clearance, there is probably air in the brake system and it must be bled out (sect ion 14)After checking, install the inspection hole cap secure ly in the drum while pushing the cap with screwdriver
