Turn the ignition switch off, and disconnect he negat ive (-I cable from he batteryConnect the ammet er (+1 probe to the ground cable and he ammeter (-) probe to the battery (-) terminalWith the ignition switch off, check for current leakageNOTE; When measuring the current using ester, set it high range, and then bring the range down to an appropriate levelCurrent flow larger han he range selected may blowout the fuse in he test erWhile measuring curr ent, do not turn the ignit ion switch ON sudden surge of current may blowout he use in the tester
Specified current leakage :
0.1 mA max
If current leakage exceeds the specif ied value, shorted circuit is likely
