Check the spindle and shifting groove for wear or damage
Final gearshaft Check the final gear and shaft for wear or damage
Transmission bearing Turn the inner race of each bearing with your fingerThe bearings should turn smoothly and quietlyAlso check that the bearing outer race fits tighly in the caseRemove and discard the bearings if the races do not turn smoothly quietly, or if they fit loosely in the case
