Drain the fuel from the float chamberGasoline is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain conditionsWork in well ventilated area with the engine stoppedDo not smoke or allow flames or sparks in your working area or where gasoline is storedWipe up spilled gasoline at once
Drain the coolant (page 5-4)Remove the throttle valve (page 4-7)Remove the choke valveDisconnect the fuel tube and coolant hoses from the carburetorLoosen the carburetor insulator and connecting bands and lift the carburetor out
