STARTER SYSTEM
STARTER MOTOR
REMOVAL
With the ignition switch OFF, remove the negative cable at the battery before servicing the starter motorRemove the starter reduction gear AlB (page 9-2)Disconnect the starter cable from the starter motorRemove the two mounting bolts and the starter motor
OISASSEMBLY
Remove the two starter motor case screws and remove the front cover, motor case and armature coilNOTE Record the number and location of shims for correct assembly(2) FRONT COVER
