STARTER SYSTEM
TROUBLESHOOTING
NOTE The starter motor should operate only when the transmission is in neutralCheck the following items before troubleshooting the system- Burned fuse (1 5A)- Battery and starter motor cables for loose connection- Battery discharged
Starter motor does not turn 1-1 Check the starter relay switch operationYou should hear the relay "CLICK" when the starter switch button is depressed(page 19-7) "CLICK" NOT HEARD "CLICK" HEARD
J 1-2Apply battery voltage to the starter motor directly and check the operationTURNS
