IGNITION SYSTEM Measure the resistance between the BuY wire and body groundSTANDARD: 290-360 (at 20 C68F) If the reading is far beyond the standard, remove the left crankcase cover, disconnect the ignition pulse generator wire connector from the ignition pulse generator terminal and measure the resistance between the terminal and body ground (see section 9)Replace the ignition pulse generator if necessary(1) IGNITION PULSE GENERATOR CONNECTOR

NOTE It is not necessary to remove the stator coil to make this test(1) TO ICM

AC SENSOR LINE INSPECTION
Disconnect the AC sensor line connector (Black)And also disconnect the alternator 3P connector (White)Check the continuity between connector terminals as follows: AC sensor line connector terminal (YW) Alternator 3P connector terminal (Y) Alternator 3P connector terminal (G) CONTINUITY NO CONTINUITY

IGNITION TIMING
If the engine must be running to do some work, make sure the area is well ventitaledNever run the engine in an enclosed areaThe exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas that may cause loss of consciousness and lead to deathNOTE The Ignition Control Module (lCM) system is factory pre-set and does not require adjustmentTo inspect the function of the ICM components, ignition timing inspection procedures are given here
