IGNITION SYSTEM INSPECTION
Remove the ignition coil (page 17-4) Measure the primary coil resistance between terminalsSTANDARD: 0.1-0.20 (at 20C68F)
(1) PRIMARY COIL
Measure the secondary coil resistance with the spark plug cap in place by checking for continuity between the plug cap and green terminalSTANDARD:88-'93: .1-10 kO (at 20C68F) After '93: 6.5-9.8 kO (at 20C68F)
(1) SECONDARY COIL (WITH PLUG CAP)
Remove the spark plug cap from the wires and measure the secondary coil resistanceSTANDARD: '88-'93: 3.6-4.5 kO (at 20C68F) After '93: 2.7-3.5 kO (at 20C68F)
