INSPECTION
NOTE Check the system components and lines step-by-step according to the troubleshooting on page 17-3This method does not include an inspection of the ignition timing advance system at the ICM(1ALTERNATOR Disconnect the ICM connectors and check them for loose contact or corroded terminalsMeasure the resistance, continuity and voltage between connector terminals of the wire harness side as follows:
ITEM Ignition coil primary coil Ignition pulse generator coil Ignition switch and engine stop switch (Turn the ignition switch ON and the engine stop switch RUN) Gearshift pedal (in neutral position) '88 '89-'93 After '93 AC sensor line
