CYLINDER HEADV ALVES Insert new dowel pins in the head cover Apply liquid sealant to the mating surfaces of the cylinder head cover CAUTION
Do not apply sealant to the camshaft journals
INSTALLATION
Install the dowel pins and the camshaft side cap on the cylinder headPosition the camshaft so that both cam lobes face down as shown by rotating the crankshaft
Install the cylinder head cover bolts and onto the cylinder head coverInstall the cylinder head coverNOTE Install new copper washer on the flange bolt that is markdesignated by the Tighten the cover bolts in or steps in criss-cross pattern, starting with the center boltTORQUES: mm flange bolt: 12 Nm (1.2 kg-m, ft-Ib) mm SH bolt: 10 Nm (1.0 kg-m, ft-Ib) Adjust the valve clearance (page 3-10)
