CYLINDER HEADVALVES NOTE Ream the guides to remove any carbon deposits before checking clearancesInsert the reamer from the bottom of the head and also always rotate the reamer in the same direction(1VALVE GUIDE REAMER
TOOL: Valve guide reamer, 5.510 mm

Measure and record each valve guide 1.0SERVICE LIMIT (INEX): 5.525 mm (0.2177 in) Subtract each valve stem 0.0from the corresponding guide 1.0to obtain the stem-to-guide clearance SERVICE LIMITS: IN: 0.12 mm (0.005 in) EX: 0.14 mm (0.006 in) If the stem-to-guide clearance exceeds the service limits, determine if new guide with standard dimensions would bring the clearance within toleranceIf so, replace any guides as necessary and ream to fitIf the stem-to-guide clearance exceeds the srevice limits with new guides also, replace the valves and guidesNOTE Reface the valve seats whenever the valve guides are replaced (page 6-10)
