MAINTENANCE Adjust by loosening the lock nut and turning the adjusting nutTighten the lock nut securely
SKID PLATES
The skid plates protect the engine, rear final gear case and rear brake panel from rocksCheck the plates for cracks, damage or looseness at intervals shown in the Maintenance ScheduleReplace the plates if they are cracked or damagedIf the plate bolts are loose, tighten them
CLUTCH SYSTEM
(1) SKID PLATES
If the engine must be running to do some work, make sure the area is well ventilatedNever run the engine in an enclosed areaThe exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas that may cause loss of consciousness and lead to deathLoosen the clutch adjusting screw lock nutSlowly turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise until resistance is feltThen turn the adjusting screw clockwise 14 turn, and tighten the lock nutTORQUE: 22 Nm (2.2 kg-m, 16 ft-Ib) After adjustment, start the engine and check for proper clutch operation
