M INTENAN CE REAR BRAKE Replace the brake shoes if the indicator plate aligns with the brake panel index mark when the rear brake lever or pedal is applied

FRONT BRAKE
Measure the distance the brake lever moves before the brake starts to take holdFree play, measured at the tip of the front brake lever, should be within standardFREE PLAY: 25-30 mm (1-1 -14 in)
If the brake lever free play is excessive and the brake linings are not worn beyond the recommended limit, adjust the brake shoe lining-to-drum clearance
Turn the brake shoe adjuster up with screwdriver until the shoes lock, then back off three stopsRecheck the brake lever free playIf free play is still excessive after adjusting the brake lining clearance, there is probably air in the brake system and it must be bled out (section 12) After checkinginstall the inspection hole cap securely in he drum while pushing the cap with screwdriver
