MAINTENANCE Wash the element in non-flammable or high flash point solvent, squeeze out the solvent thoroughly, and allow the element to drySoak the element in 21-26 cc (0.7-0.9 oz) Honda Foam Filter Oil or an equivalent oil (page 2-1) and squeeze out the excess oil thoroughlyPlace the element onto the core and replace the element band and holderInstall the element in the air cleaner housingInstall the air cleaner housing cover and clipsInstall the seat
(1) WASH IN SQUEEZE OUT SOLVENT SOLVENT THOROUGHLY
HONDA SQUEEZE OUT FOAM FILTER OIL EXCESS OIL
AIR CLEANER HOUSING DRAIN TUBE
Remove the drain plug from the air cleaner housing to empty any depositsInstall the drain plugNOTE Service more frequently when riding in very wet or muddy areas
SPARK PLUG
Disconnect the spark plug cap and remove the spark plug Visually inspect the spark plug electrodes for wear The center electrode should have square edges and the side electrode should have constant thicknessDiscard the spark plug if there is apparent wear or if the insulator is cracked or chippedMeasure the gap with wire-type feeler gauge and adjust if necessary by carefully bending the side electrode
