MAINTENANCE CHAIN SLACK ADJUSTMENT Loosen the two lock bolts using the tool provided in the tool kitTurn the adjuster to decrease or increase chain slack using the hex wrench provided in the tool kitINCREASE: Turn the adjuster clockwise DECREASETurn the adjuster counterclockwise
Then tighten the socket boltsTORQUE: 19-2 N' 11 .92.5 kg-m1418 ft-Ibl
If drive chain slack is excessive hen the adjuster is moved
to the limit of adjustmentthe drive chain is worn and must
be replaced
DRIV CHAINSPROCKET INSPECTIONLUBRICATION
Inspect the sprocket teeth for excessive wear or damageRe place if necessaryNOTE
(3) NORMAL
Never install new drive chain on worn sprockets or worn chain on new sprocketsBoth chain and sprockets must be in good condition, or the new replacement chain or sprockets will wear rapidly
Clean the drive chain with non-flammable or high flash point solvent that will not damage the O-rings, and wipe dryCAUTION
