TROUBLESHOOTING
ENGINE LACKS POWER
CHECK 1Raise rear wheels off ground and spin by hand WHEEL SPINS FREELY CONDITION PROBABLE CAUSE WHEELS DO NOT SPIN -Brake dragging FREELY Worn or damaged axle bearing Axle bearing not lubricated properly Drive chain too tight
2Check tire pressure with tire gauge
P,ESSURE NORMAL 3Check clutch slipping CLUTCH ENGAGED PROPERLY
TIRE PRESSURE IS TOO LOW
Punctured tire Faultv tire valve
CLUTCH SLiPSi- Clutch spring weak Worn clutch disclplate Warped clutch disclplate Faulty clutch lifter system
4Lightly accelerate engine ENGINE SPEED INCREASED
5Check ignition timing using timing light IGflTION TIMING IS CORRECT 6Test cylinder compression by operating kick starter using compression gauge COMPRESSION IS NORMAL 7Check for clogged carburetor CARBURETOR IS NOT CLOGGED 8Remove spark plug PLUG IS NOT FOULED OR DISCOLORED
