GENERAL
This section covers servicing of the rear shock absorber and swingarm repairs jack or block is required to support the FOURTRAX Use genuine Honda bolts for the rear suspension linkage and shock absorber pivot and mounting; ordinary bolts lack adequate strength for these applicationsAlso take note of the installation direction of these bolts since they must be installed correctly
The shack absorber contains nitrogen gas under high pressureDo not alloH' fire or heat near the shock absorber Beore disposal of the shock absorber, release the nitrogen bypressing the valve coreThen remove the valvefrom the shock absorber The shock absorber has gas-filled reservoirUse only nitrogen to pressurize the shock absorberThe use of an unstable gas can cause afire or explosion resulting in serious injury
